Some symptoms can be severe or mild. This consists of body aches, flu, congestion, cough, and fever. The lymph nodes can become swollen in your neck.
Causes of Throat Infection:

- Bacterial and strep throat infection

- Gastroesophageal reflux or GERD
Treatment of Throat Infection:
A viral throat infection will last for five or seven days. It does not require any form of medical treatment. Antibiotics cannot treat your viral infection.
To get rid of fever and pain, people can have Tylenol or acetaminophen that relieves mild pain. You can also get ibuprofen, Advil, and Motrin in case your child is suffering from a throat infection.
Teenagers or children cannot have aspirin as it has a connection with Reye’s syndrome. This is a life-threatening but rare disease that causes brain and liver swelling.
In case of a bacterial throat infection, the doctor will prescribe some antibiotics. You have to complete the entire course even if there are no symptoms. If you fail to do so, it can spread to other parts of your body and become worse.
If your child does not complete the full course, it can lead to inflammation of their kidney or cause rheumatic fever.
